Boddingtons Part One and Hydes Anvil Brewery

Programme Three: 30.00 Boddington’s Brewery. This CD features interviews with Managing Director Maurice Richardson and researcher Neil Richardson. Also from the brewery, clerk Ray Richardson, drayman John Raymond Grice and second brewer Ian Kendal. After the Whitbread take over, Boddingtons turned themselves into a pub and leisure group. However, the end finally came when they were taken over by Greenalls (they had dropped the Whitley) in 1995 … and are sadly no more.
